I didn't notice anything about security in the pdf ?
WBEM is more secure way. SNMP is a cleartext communication.

just an example - the online diagnostics for hp-ux moved from proprietary+snmp to wbem in system fault management (SFM) and now works with HP SIM.

We are using SNMP. WBEM doesn not give me all of the information I need in SIMS.
