Hello, I administer web and e-mail server DL20 G10 (3 months old) with Windows Server 2019.
I would like to install SPP from Windows using SUM, because minimalizing time when server is unavailable.
I have big problem, because I am not able to run SUM.
Error: Cannot launch sum_service_x64.exe localy. Reason: HTTP Server start failed (failed to open listener)
There is no dropped line in Windows Firewall.
There is this event in log:
Source: Smart Update Manager System Log
Date: 12.11.2019 10:52:54
Event ID: 10
Task Category: (4)
Level: Warning

Computer:
Description:
The description for Event ID 10 from source Smart Update Manager System Log cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
I spent lot of time with e-mailing with local support without success.
It seems something blocks running program, that listen ports for SUM web site.
Any help is welcome
Thanks

Re: SPP SUM from Windows Server 2019
HI ,
Are you running SUM through the launch_SUM.bat file found in the root folder of the SPP iso ?
Have you been able to run SUM on your other servers ?
Regards
Ronny

Re: SPP SUM from Windows Server 2019
Hello Ronissac,
Yes, I tried run launch_sum.bat from DVD, from mounted ISO and from unpacked ISO to local folder with same result.
Yes, I can run SUM on three other servers, but they all are older DL310e G8 v2 with Windows 2012 R2 64.
Thank you for your help.

Re: SPP SUM from Windows Server 2019
Hello again,
As I wrote, there are no dropped packets in firewall log.
I cannot turn FW off. It is web and e-mail server on internet.
