SPP on Gen 9 Servers?

Hi,

As Gen9 Servers have the option to update the firmware in the BIOS/UEFI, does that mean that the HP SPP is no longer required?

You can update from UEFI, but you need to manually collect the files first. You can update BIOS and other components, but not all.

 

So IMHO the SPP is still the way to go.
