SSH Remote console (remcons) with ILO-2?

Hi,

I have an ILO-2 question:

Server: DL380 G5
ILO 2 Version: 1.20 (Standard)

I want to use the remote console via SSH. After logging ILO-1 knows the command "remcons" for this purpose. But where is "remcons" in ILO-2?

I couldn't found the answer in the ILO-2 documenation. The only SSH-remote-console hint is in the troubleshooting section:

"Troubleshooting SSH and Telnet problems - SSH text support from a Remote Console session: The telnet and SSH access from text Remote Console supports the standard 80 x 25 configuration of the text screen..."

It's possible to use the remote console via SSH with ILO-2?

Hi,

posts from http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=947167 describe how to use a serial line instead of "remcons". Of course, this is a possible solution/workaround. But I would like to know if HP has removed the "remcons" feature completely.

Can we give a try to update the ILO firmware and check since the latest firmware version is 1.22?
