I have a Proliant ML570 using one array type 5 with 5 drives containing the operating system.
I would like to add 3 drives in order to increase the capacity of the array, Is possible to added using the same array ?, Or I need to use a extra controller card ?

Depending on which model of arrau controller you are using in the server you should be able to extend the original logical drive using the same controller. I recommend you contact a technician at 1-800-ok-compaq and have the model of smart array controller handy. The technician will verify if this controller supports online logical drive extension and will also give you the information needed if it is supported.
