Samsung PM1725 in DL380 G7
Hi Everyone
I was hoping somebody could tell me if a Samsung PM1725 6.4TB SSD TLC PCI-Express Gen 3.0 x8 NVMe PCIe Solid State Drive was a viable option for a DL380 Gen7 Server. We have one working in a Gen10 but thought I should ask before purchasing one for the older server.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Samsung PM1725 in DL380 G7
Hi @mikemc1601,
NVMe drives are not supported on G7 servers.
Refer the below quick specs which indicates only Gen9 and Gen10 supported with NVMe.
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00001288enw
Even G7 are very old machines (launched somewhere in 2010) where as NVMe drives are fairly new compare to that,
so i doubt they will work on G7.
