Sas card add-on in DL380 G3

Hi

I want connect LTO4 Autoloader SAS interface in my dl380 G3 server.

There are a add-on card for sas connectivity for this generation of DL380 ?

I believe the P600 Smart array controller will provide the connectivity you need, but it is not officially supported on the G3.

The PN for the P600/256MB BBWC is 337972-B21

The quickspecs for this controller are here:

Again, it is not officially supported for the G3, so it may not work.

Thank you for your response Saberus.

I think, it's hard to suggest to my boss purchase a controller if i'm not sure is it's compatible or working. I will prefer go to the sas interface for speed but if i'm not sure it's working i stay with old scsi U320 interface which it's working for sure. It seem fitted in pci-x slot in dl380 G3 but ......

Anyway thank you for your suggestion.

according http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/division/Division.html#12247 and http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/arraycontrollers/index.html is P600 Smart Array the only one SAS controller for PCI-X slot (in your dl380 g3 server)

and mayby ask craetor about his experience, he planned to try it.

anyway, it is not looking like best configuration, probably consider replacing your g3 server.
