Seeking DL360 Gen10 Riser kit guidance

Hello,

We have a client that would like to add six NVMe drives to their DL360 Gen10 server. They say that they would require riser / PCIe card support for 6 drives that are high performance ( minimum 2000/1000 mbps and ideally 3000/2000).

Currently the server has only two of the eight HDD slots filled.

Does anyone know - do they need a riser kit or is the machine already set up to take these NVMe drives?

Thanks!

Is this enough information to get a recommendation? Or do I need to ask the customer more about their current configuration?

Re: Seeking DL360 Gen10 Riser kit guidance

Thanks @Bunsol for the thorough reply!

The customer is asking:

The unit already has 2 x 300G SAS drives for the OS/System.
Can we keep using those drives if this kit is installed or is it only NVME supported if the kit is installed ?

Any thoughts on that?
