Hello,
I installed Windows Server 2012 R2 on a ML310e Gen8, including the roles DC and DNS. After a few weeks I got strange network problems. The server didn't respond to DNS queries, all other services worked well. Client and server are in the same subnet with one switch and no firewall between (Windows Firewall disabled). After a few days of unsuccessful troubleshooting (Windows Updates, Driver Updates, Different network equipment, Hardware Settings) I read about an issue with the RSS (Recieve Side Scaling) feature with the same symptoms. I disabled RSS in the NIC (HP Ethernet 1Gb 2-port 330i Adapter) and the connection worked correctly. After the next reboot the server was not reachable from the local network. No traffic was going in- and outside of the server.
Has anybody experience with this problem ?
Best Regards
