Server G5 365 and storage

Hi all,

I have a server G5 365 that I bought with a storage, now the storage  have a controller module with a scasi interface model number is AS# 361653-501 

I can't for my life find what type of controller card I need in the 365, so I ask here to see if anyone knows what type of card and cable I need and can point me to a place where I can buy it.

If so, you need an UltraSCSI320 adapter and cable for your server.

Not certain if you need a 'normal' or 'Smart array' type controller for that shelf, though.

Can't help any more at the only MSA20 I ever used was attached to a MSA1500 unit, and that again was attached to the servers using Fibre.

anyway, a whole lot of guesswork based on a partial servername and what looks like a partnumber for the controller module in a diskshelf.

Maybe we can be a bit more specific with proper and complete server and storage names.

Looks like a MSA20, so you need a smartarray controller inside the server to connect the enclosure - a "normal" scsi controller does NOT work.

That looks to be the storage I have.

More details,,, Where to find them, hmm

The server is in a location that I can't get to esealy, it runs exsi mayge I can get some info from it?

The storage, well I have that besides me, I see a label with part number. is that of any use?

According to the quickspecs you need a

"...Support for the Smart Array 6404, Smart Array 6402, Smart Array 642 and the Smart Array 6i Controllers"

Thank's now I only need to find one for a good price, contacted a dealer of hp products here in sweden, to see what they want for a card and a cable.
