Server RAID controler

Hi, I want to change the RAID controller from PCIe Slot 1 to slot 4 of woking server.Is it possible to change the controller PCI slot to other slot without lossing data. Because I have seen one document for DL 380G5 server P400 controller should be in Slot 3 0r 4 or 5 to expand and extend the logical drive. So pls let me know if anybody knows abt this....

You can change slots no problem but before you make a data backup.

As long as you move to a supported slot (speed and type must match), you can move the controller around.

Is it necessory to change the controller from slot 1 to slot 4 for expanding the existing array.?

I cannot see any reason for this.

So I can expand the Array from the same slot
(Slot 1). I have ordered the BBWC kit.
I am waiting for the kit. Now the controller is having only 256 MB cache without battery.
ACU is not showing any expand or extend option after I installed the 2 new HDD in the servr.
So pls reply in this case.?

Quickspecs, say adding BBWC will enable Expansion and Extension.
So these option will not be available in ACU, untill you have added the BBWC
