Server compatibility with MSL2024 and MSA60

I want to set up a backup solution.
I have a MSL2024 and MSA60, I tried to use a DL140 G3, but it would not find the robotic library on MSL2024.

Is it an option to get a DL320 server, and is this server compatable with the tape and disc unit(MSL2024, MSA60).

Re: Server compatibility with MSL2024 and MSA60

For the tape libaries you must use a seperate SCSI controller (HBA)

For the newer MSL's the HBA must support LUN scanning, since the library controller use the SCSI ID of a drive. (default set for the first drive)

The onboard SCSI controllers on the Proliant servers , from G2 and forward is integrated with the internal smart array controllers.
The smart controller support Hard drives and tape drives only.
