Server hangs every after 5 minutes
I have created Exchange 2007 SCC cluster on windows 2008 O/S using DL385 G5 server. My users complains that they cannot access exchange sometimes. Actually my 2nd node hangs every after 5 minutes & next I reboot it forcely & found an event generated in event logs saying "DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service ShellHWDetection with arguments "" in order to run the server"
it affects my 1st exchange node also.
Kindly help me ASAP, it is urgent

Re: Server hangs every after 5 minutes
hi,
you probably have afew more similar errors in the event log, which may help abit more?
but first off i would check all the drivers, starting with the network ones
reinstall these first if you have to
do you have any exclamation marks in device manager? is everything using correct drivers?
Andy

Re: Server hangs every after 5 minutes
hi
your error is very general since I found something for Vista
http://groups.google.com/group/windows-vista/browse_thread/thread/a8b00e4bfb5ed2e6/525dc7c25e9030a3
would you mind checking HP integrated management log(IML) and windows event viewer (System) for more errors
also which controller is you server using?
Firmware level?
drivers level?
bye
