Server rebooted

My HPE Proliant DL 380 Gen9  rebooted this week, with no reason. It is connected to a UPS. In the log files of the UPS there is nothing to see. In the logs of my server, there was just the power kernel error.

Now the warning led under the power button is blinking.

Maybe a problem with a power source? There ar 2 power sources in my server. Maybe one of them is broken? How can I know that? Is there software where I can see hardware diagnostics?

My server knowledge is not quit high.

Thanks.

Re: Server rebooted

Connect to ILO and have a look into IML.

Hope this helps!

Re: Server rebooted

I have set up ILO and there is the "cache module status is Failed". Probably the battery? Smart array battery broken?

Re: Server rebooted

a failed battery should not cause a reboot, but a failed cache will probably do.

Check the status in ILO and SSA (smart storage administrator).

Hope this helps!
