Server running slow
We have a Proliant ML350 with 1 800MHZ processor and 512MB RAM
We have 3 disks arranged into a RAID 5 array with 4 partitions.
Windows NT 4.0 with SP6a and IIS 4.0 is installed supporting our intranet web sites.
Recently we have noticed that the server is going very slow. I.E. Open up Internet Service Manager and it can take 5-10 mins before appearing!
The % Processor useage is low and memory useage is also low.
However the Processor Queue Length is rarely less than 5 or 6.
Has anyone got any ideas what could be the problem or things to try out.
We thought we may need a new processor die to the queue length readings, but expected the %processor time to also be high.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
