Server setup.
We have purchased some Proliant servers for our company. My question is a simple one in that I need to locate documentation either through the Compaq website or another 3rd party website for the burn-in process. I was told that with a new server, it must go through a series of procedures (simple tasks) before I attempt to put it into production. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Server setup.
Steve:
You can get all the drivers for Compaq servers here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
you can get all the documentation and support info here:
http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/home/selectproduct.asp?destination=reflib
(select server >> select model)
As far as tasks to get the server burned in, you can use the system partition utilities (F10 at startup) which you build in with SmartStart. If you need a SmartStart CD, you can order one here:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/SmartStart/index.html
Hope this helps.

Re: Server setup.
What you are referring to is configuring the system and installing the required O/S using SmartStart. That is the onlu "procedure" you need, there is no burn-in necessary and it is not referenced or recommended anywhere in Compaq documantation.
