Server taking too long time to shutdown

i have a dl 380 G5 installed with window server 2003 enterprise with service pack2. the server is not connected to SAN.

The problem is server when initiated proper shutdown takes 22 minutes to shutdown.

The screen is left with cursor showing and nothing else.

there are two hard disks in mirrored.

The same hard disk works fine in another dl 380 Server G5. It shutdown fine and restart fine no problems.

there are not hardware faults. nothing. system is updated with latest firmware.

server has 8 Gb memory. we have even tried removing 4 Gb. but its same.

we have checked rebooting in safe mode. it takes 9 minutes to shutdown.

there is no problem in restarting only shutdown takes 22 minutes. yes exactly 22 minutes.

any ideas?

It can be a driver issue. Please check if you have installed the latest PSP. Please remove all the PCI cards, and check if the issue remians.
