Set SerialNumber in BIOS on ML370 G1
I have following problem.
I have an old ML370 G1. The SerialNumber is not setup in the System Configuration.
So I enter the Configuration Utility (F10). After scanning and loading the cfg-files, I can choose to save configuration or to change the settings.
I choose to change the settings and then ... server freezes.
I tried different things
- boot with SmartStart 5.40
- boot with SmartStart 4.80
- Removed lokal disks and started Utility
- erased system
every time the same thing, if I want to review the settings, the system freezes.
After that, booting the server show error "Boot Controller Order not set".
Again tried to start Configuration Utility.
Fortunately, i could save the config. But on the last screen (where to press Enter to reboot the server) it freezed again.
So the server is up and running (without SNr.).
Does somebody of the community have an idea whatelse i can try (without changing the motherboard) ?

I still don't understand why adding a second large link always is bad
