Set as boot controller in OCRA for P400 in DL585G2

we have a DL585 G2 with P400 for internal HDs (OS)and P800 for external disk encloser. Now we are experiencing an issue that sometimes (not everytime)during the reboot process, the server gets stuck after showing P800 controller. Unless the local KVM keyboard is pressed, the server will get through and start loading the OS. We have upgraded the firmware/drivers for all related parts. One concern is we might have not set the boot controller in OCRA on P400 during the initial installation. But we set the controller order in RBSU that P400 is before P800. Does any one know the Boot controller settings in OCRA is necessary in Multi-controller environment or not?

Hi,

P800 In slots 5, 7 or 8? Have you tried to change the slot?
Make sure that the enclosure is turned on before the server.
Also ORCA (option ROM configuration for arrays) can be disabled in BIOS, follow karlo advice and clear NVRAM
and you will have 2 ORCA's one for each controller.
on the boot controller order check if the P400 is first and safe the options
