Several DL/BL servers with Average Temp of 253 degrees
Hi
We have several DL/BLc servers that display 253 degrees C as their average temperature in our remote monitoring tool.
Has anyone else seen this issue?
Is it hardware or firmware?

Re: Several DL/BL servers with Average Temp of 253 degrees
It may be possible that it could be a combination of firmware and management agents update.
The following steps may be performed on a couple of server and then implemented across the whole lot:
- Backup the IML logs and clear them.
- Then update the server’s BIOS and ILO firmware respectively. For a Blade server use the SPP module to update the firmware using the latest available bladesystem pack.
- Then update the Insight Management Agents and check if the issue is resolved.
If the issue is resolved, then roll it out to other servers.
