Shadow Copy Component of DL100 NAS server
Hi,
Good Day!!
I am confused on windows 2003 Applicance edition as in line with our veritas
backup software. We have a 4 HP DL100 NAS server with a Windows 2003
Appliance edition Operating System. My concern is that, why is it that the
system state appears under the Shadow Copy Component when i check it on the
selection list on the veritas backup exec software on the 2 NAS server.Unlike
with the other 2 NAS servers with the same OS and sofware installed, the
system state appears outside the Shadow Copy Component folder. I am just
curious on how it affects the backup of our systems state and on how will we
restore if disaster comes. What is the difference if it is under Shadow Copy
component folder and with outside shadow component folder? Hope someone could
help me in explaining this technology and on this scenario.Or provide me a
link/article on this issue.
Thanks
Jay
