Single drive to RAID 5
Hi,
Probably been asked this before but how easy is it to convert from a single drive to RAID 5? I know I need to make Windows 2003 aware of the SmartArray641 card first before doing any migration but beyond that what utility would I run to migrate the data?
Hope somebody can shed some light,
Will

Re: Single drive to RAID 5
Hello Will,
Download the windows Driver for SmartArray 641 so that the OS detects the controller card:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23379.html
Than Install the Array Configuration Utility. Using this utility you could manage the array.
