Slow data throughput on HP ML370 G3 Netware 6.5 server

Hi all,

My agency is in the process of implementing a Docs Management system. As a result we have to move, or imput, large chunks of data from our NW 6.5 server to a Win 2003. Unfortunatly the import is taking way to long. In one instance we downloaded 300mb of data and it took over 30 minutes. Out of desperation we isolated the win 2003 server and NW 6.5 server onto a single Cisco swicth off the network. We still had the problem. We tried different cables so we ruled out a Netwaork prob. We also changed the speed on the switches and both servers to 100 MPs Full Duplex.

The NW 6.5 server is onlly 3 months old and has the following specs:
Proc: HP ML 370 server w 1 x Xeon 3.06 GHz Proc,
RAM: two 512 MB DDR SDRAM - ECC - 266 MHz - PC2100
HD: two 72.8 GB - hot-swap - 3.5" - Ultra320 SCSI - 10000 rpm with mirroring on the software side through Netwarenone.
NIC:Integrated HP NC10xx/NC67xx/NC77xx Gigabit Server Adapter LAN EN, Fast EN, Gigabit EN

I would really appreciate if someone can recommend anything I can do to improve the data throughput.

Thanks so much.

Hi Jose,

try this two parameters:
minimum directory cache buffers = 2000
maximum directory cache buffers = 4000
