I have to clone several 80 GB ATA drives for ML330 G3 servers. When I use Norton Ghost 7.5 to do a disk to disk copy, I can't reach speeds of over 78 MB per minute. How can I increase my throughput? If I use a workstation to clone drives, I get speeds of over 1000 MB per minute.

Solution
Rick:
I have seen similar problems with other platforms, notably IBM xSeries and eSeries servers. I can't tell you exactly what they are right now, but there were some command-line switches to the ghost executable that I used to overcome the degraded performance. Do a thorough read of the switches and see which ones suggest themselves. If you do and still need some input, please report back and I'll dig into my notes from back then and see if that helps.

Re: Slowness while using Ghost copy or imaging
I changed the switches to -FFI and this sped up the process to over 200 Mb per minute. Thank you

I changed the switch on the Ghost.exe command to -FFI. This sped up the process to over 200 Mb per Minute
