Smart Array 2 - ML370 - replacing failed drive - RedHat 8

I've got an ML370 running RedHat 8. My / partition consists of 6 32 GB drives configured for RAID 5. I'm going to be putting this server into production soon. Before I do, I'd like to get some first-hand experience with how the rebuilding of a failed physical volume works.

I removed one of the hot-swap arrays and pluggind in a replacement. What must I now do to cause the array controller to rebuild the replaced volume? I've looked through all the online documentation I've been able to find, but haven't found any pointers to this yet.

The rebuild should be automatic, provided you're using a Smart Array controller and hardware based raid.

You should be able to get a status from the Array Configuration Utility. In some rare cases, we've had to bump up the rebuild priority on our systems to actually get a rebuild to take place.

All of my exeperience is Windows servers, I hope some of the software is the same or similar under RH.
