Smart Array 3200 controller
I have a problem with the Smart 3200 controller. The OS of the server is Win NT 4 SP6. There's a 20/40Gb tape drive connected to the Smart array 3200 controller. Backup program is Arcserve 2000. I always get an error message within Arcserve (E6300 Windows NT SCSI Port Error). The event viewer tells me: The driver detected a controller error on \device\Scsiport 3 (source: CPQ32FS2). Compaq SCSI storage agent:SCSI! Tape drive: tape status change slot:0; Port:1; Drive:6 Value:4 != Threshold :2.
After this the tapedrive went into idle status. The only thing left for me to do is to restart the server.
Please, I need you assistance for this. Thanks in advance.
Axel

Re: Smart Array 3200 controller
I think I had a similar problem. Try updating the ROMPAQ for the server, and then replace the DLT driver. Both downloads are available on Compaq site...
