I am getting the following error as below.
1794-Drive Array - Array Accelerator Battery Charge Low.The server has been up since 13/01/07 post error message appears.
Checked SIM showing battery are OK.
ADU report show battery status as 0x0003.
Failed Battery as 0x0000.
Any ideas if it is a battery fault or cache.
All firmware is up to date.

SolutionProbably the battery is not charging well and you get this message intermitently. This is an old controller and the battery can be 5 or 6 years old.

Re: Smart Array 5300
for 2 batteries so i will replace them and
see how it goes.As this is a fault call so
we have to seem to be doing something about
the error. The logs in SIM do have the error
logged. But if you look under the controller
section all is shown as ok.
I have to wait for downtime so it might be
a few days or longer before i can reply again.
Thanks,
PJ

Re: Smart Array 5300
You have a DL380 G2 with an SA 5300, this issue you are having may be cause by your Array Diagnostic Utility, the Version is 7.20.14.0, and is really outdated. The FW for the controller is the latest, it is ok, so I recommend you to update the ADU version to get more accurate results from this report.
To update this tool go to http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3288128&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316587тМй=en&cc=us
Select your OS, jump to Software - System Management, find the latest Array Configuration Utility (should be around 2.90) and install it

Re: Smart Array 5300
Both battery packs were replaced yesterday.
No error messages appearing in SIM.
Updated all the PSP as suggested.
As forum member as suggested cntrl is old and batteries may have a fault. This may have
been the case.
Fingers all ok at the moment.
Thanks for all your help
PJ
