Smart Array 532 Installation Problem
I haven't even got past the first step installing this piece of hardware. The install CD insists on a file called !CPQ0722.CFG, which is not even compressed in the file of .CFG files.
Compaq are sending me a new unit because they don't think it should take 10 mins for the hardware to timeout during the boot.
The firmware update ROMPAQ reported that there were no updates relevant to my machine. I'm wondering if my supplier has sent an incompatible card...

Re: Smart Array 532 Installation Problem
I have the same issue, I was wondering if you found a work around for this. It has been suggested that I create a .cpq file, but I'm not sure if that will work or not. I was able to install Win2k on one of my hard disks, but the raid array controller is not recognized. It's listed as an adaptec scsi controller not a compaq one?!?. If I attempt to update to the compaq driver, I get a stop 0x0000007 Inaccessible boot device. Any information would be appreciated. Thanx
