Smart Array 5i firmware update
Hi,
trying to update firmware of SmartArray 5i controller from 1.72 to 2.76. Getting folowing error:

Message Smart Component, cp009289.exe, failed to install with status 0.

How are you updating it?
Through the OS (ie Online Update?)
Have you tried making a FW Update CD and doing it from that?

First I tried the Firmware Maintanance CD's 7.50 and 8.20. Then I used the "Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - Smart Array 5i and SA-532 Version 2.76" cp009289.exe.
The SmartArray 5i is an embedded part of a ProLiant DL380 G2. I tried also lower versions of the firmware, all with the same error result.

in the meantime the controller got defective and HP replaced it. With the new controller everything is running normal.
