Smart Array 6402
I have a ML370g3 with a SA6402 and 4 hdd of 146gb in a raid 5, I want to extend de logical drive with the ACU. But when a extend de array and after de logical drive, i have a msg that the max that a can extend is 514gb because some OS not support bigger Logical drive...
My OS is W2k with spk4.
Spk 7.0 with ACU 7.0.1.0
Somebody had this msg before?
Thanks a lot
Regards

Re: Smart Array 6402
To retain the option of migrating the logical drive stripe size to a larger stripe size, do not use all available disk space when creating logical drives. A minimum of 256 KB per physical disk must remain unassigned in the array to retain this option. For example, if four 146 GB disk drives are used to configure a RAID 5 array, 1,024KB of unassigned drive space should remain (256 KB X 4) to allow migrating to a larger stripe size.

Re: Smart Array 6402
I read the answers Igor's case in
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=631026&admit=716493758+1089353078278+28353475
Igor's case
So can I, without making again my LD, change the stripe size and after I make the extention with another HDD?
Thanks

Re: Smart Array 6402
Did you try to use latest ACU as
Vijay suggested?
I see in description: added support for the following:
"Extending any logical drive to new size of up to 2TB.
Creating logical drives to a max size of 2TB using 32 sectors (Max boot disabled)"
I will try it on Sunday.
Igor
