Smart Array Cache disabled after battery replacing
Hello
We have just replaced the battery in Smart array cache, but since then the cache is disabled:
# ssacli ctrl all show status
Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded)
Controller Status: OK
Cache Status: Temporarily Disabled
Battery/Capacitor Status: OK
I tried to power off/on the server and iLO but it didn't help. Can I enable the cache by some command or is it some other error?
Thanks
Ondrej Vesely

Re: Smart Array Cache disabled after battery replacing
Hi,
Following indicate: "ADG enabler missing"
"Cache Status: Temporarily Disabled
Cache Status Details: Cache disabled; ADG enabler missing.
Cache Disable Reason: Temporary disable condition. The cache has been disabled because a RAID6 volume is configured but the enablement mechanism is broken or missing."
Please check and ensure that "ADG enabler " is present incase it was installed earlier and missing now.
also check following:
wait for battery to fully charge and check the status,
Update the controller firmware to latest and check the status.
Regards,
Sudhir
