Re: Smart Array Controller Error E200i

Smart Array Controller Error E200i

Our Server is an ML350 G5, we have installed an FreeBSD OS (opensource). On the 3rd day, we have installed the database systems where it was recommended that we reboot the unit. After reboot, an error was displayed:

"1783 - hot plug 0..." error, preceeded by a line:

Smart Array Controller E200i error...

The two hotplug 146GB SCSI HDDs are not detected, no led activity on either hdd's.

Re: Smart Array Controller Error E200i

Hi,

1783 is usually a critical smart array controller or cache module fault.

Try reseating the cache module with the following procedure for the ML350 G5 (Please use antistatic protection when performing this)

Go to this link and click on "Smart Array Module". This procedure is for the cache module. The Smart Array E200 raid controller itself is embedded on the system board.

I hope this helps.
