Smart Array E200/128

Hi,

We are trying to use a Smart Array E200/128 Mb with a proliant ML 310 g5 and we can't configure any array. The Smart Array is booting correctly and the post of the bios card is being displayed, but he doesn't found any disk on the system. We have installed the RAID card on PCIe Slot 3 and is being recognized by the Proliant BIOS. Also the HDD's SATA are found by the controller onboard of the server but not by the E200. I don't know if it is necessary any cable to connect the Smart Array and the server, but all seems to work except the RAID configuration. The server does not come with any SAS cable on the box as it is explained on the Raid documentation.

Thanks.

Re: Smart Array E200/128

But... where do you have the SATA cables connected? Inserting the E200 in a PCI slot is not enough, you must connect the disks to it.
Any SAS HBA or Smart Array Controller requires the purchase of the HP SAS Cable ML310 G5 (460310-B21).
