Smart Array P400 or P600

I am in the process of planning a nice sized DL380 database server. I would like to know what the difference is between the P400 and P600 controllers. I would hope to create 3 or 4 separate drives with possibly 2 controllers.
Disk 0 and disk 1 mirrored for c:\ for os and page file, disk 2 and disk 3 mirrored for d:\ for db logs, and disk 4 and disk 5 mirrored for e:\ for db files. Possibly a disk 6 and disk 7 mirrored for f:\ for db dump files.

How many channels are on these controllers? How many RAID1 sets can I create?
