Smart Array P410i
Hi, i have a HP server with 3 disks working RAID5. Due the lack of space we wanted to add more free space do the array, i put the new disk, i add the disk to the logical drive, expanded the array, and he just finish doing the parity distribuition. But i still don't have more free space. When i open the HP Utility management, it shows that the RAID has more space, but it doesn't show up in the Windows 2008 R2 Server. What would be the next step to make it work? Migrate RAID to RAID 5. i know i already have RAID 5, but if the Windows doesn't detect the new free space, maybe migrating for the same RAID, it will detect, and for what i read there is very little change to lose any data, but i want to check here first to have a second opinion, before any action. Best Regards.
