Smart Array P800 driver for Windows 2000

I have a DL580 G3 system with a Smart Array P800 controller connected to an MSA70 storage enclosure. I need to rebuild the server as Windows 2000 for application reasons but cannot find a Win2k driver for the P800. Is there a W2k driver out there or am I out of luck on this?

my recommendation would be deploy server using smartstart 7.90 that must include the drivers

I have already tried that. There doesn't appear to be any Win2k drivers for the P800.

yes you're right I downloaded driver for W2000 and there was nor driver for P800 but for W2003 it did

so try Smartstart 7.9 and let us know

Interesting. The P800 is not supported backwards, only a driver for 2003.
I do see that the P400 has a full compliment of drivers. Might be worth a try.
It does read "HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver for Windows 2000" so it could cover all the controllers.

Did you try to extract the win2k3 drivers and try on the win2k?

Yes, I did. I even tried to pull the info from the 2003 inf and add it to the p400 win2k inf with no luck.

That is what we sent him above and He said he tried that and it did not support the P800.
Would is the OEM for the P800? LSI? I would suggest going to them and trying their more generic drives for the chipset, of course HP does claim that the P400 and P800 were made special for HP, noting the ability of the card to not function outside the HP platform
