Re: Smart Array P800 driver for Windows 2000

Guys,
I finally got it working. I must have fat fingered it the last time I tried, but I put the Vendor ID from the 2k3 driver into the W2k driver and it finally seemed to work. I was able to finally load ACU and talk to the controller, but it didn't see any drives. I updated the firmware on the controller and then power cycled the server and lo and behold, I am in operation.

Thanks a bunch
Chris

Just insert Ven info from W2k3 driver into W2k driver

Re: Smart Array P800 driver for Windows 2000

I am having a similiar situation with a Proliant ML 370 G4. Is there a way i could get step-by-step instructions of what you did to fix your problem? I tried calling the HP Helpdesk but all i got was the standard "canned" response of you must load Windows 2003.

Re: Smart Array P800 driver for Windows 2000

Found the solution to my problem with the ML 370. Hit this link and download the file:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=397646&swItem=MTX-02e42aa767e64887be27307455&prodNameId=3279717&swEnvOID=181&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=3

I then had to rename the hpcissm2.sys file to hpcisss2.sys

it thinks its a compaq driver but i was able to use Disk management to get the drive arrays online.
