Smart Start 6.40 ML570 G2 and 5304

Have tried to install a Smart Array 5304/256 into PCI slot 7 of a ML570 G2. Can configure arrays, but Smart Start hangs at point "loading Drivers".
If move smart array to any other slot, Smart start works fine.
Have a ML530 G2 with same smart array in slot 7 and smart start 6.40 works fine.

Any ideas

update the firmware on both the smart controller and system bios

the 5304 is at 3.40B
ML570 G2 is at 4.04 P32 08/06/2003
These are the latest I can find from the web.
Problem is still occurring

I hame the same problem - ML570G2 + SmartArray5302 in slot 7. At "loading drivers" SmartStart 6.40 is hangs.

After talking to HP and seeing their notes, slot 7 seems to be dedicated to the RILOE board. (rather odd). Putting the Smart Array in any other slot and it works fine. Nothing to do with revs as we were at the latest.
