HI,
I bought this Old Compaq prolient ML 530 server. When i bought this one , it has 3 scsi hardrive attached, now i bought another 2, but i need to configure smart array 221 for this newly 2 harddrive.
I have installed Centos 5, and i was trying to configure smart array with different driver for Redhat but it didnot work. its saying, OS cant be detected. so I am thinking if i can use smart start cd to configure Array controller.
Yesterday, i have tryed with smart start 8, but it didnot work, it didnot able to get all resources.
so can any one please help me,
what version of smart tool will work with my server and where to find ??
according to this link : http://www.compaq.com/products/quickspecs/10494_div/10494_div.html#Models
it should work with smart start 4.60. but i am unable to find that verstion any where.
or if there is any other way to configure array controller for this server.
It would be realy helpfull if any one can help me.
thanks for your time.

Solution
Smart Start 5.50, should do the trick.
You will find it under any, G1 proliant.
Here you can see wich o/s is supported.

Go on from there, or:

Download and unpack.
You get an ISO image, create a bootable smart start from that.
