Re: Smart array p420i need to R0 to R1
Hello ThangaPandiyan,
I am not aware of an option to convert a RAID 0 to a RAID 1 without data loss.
I would recommend to follow the below steps to transfer the data from the RAID 0 to the RAID 1.
- Create image of current RAID0
- Remove old disks
- Install new disks
- Recreate array as RAID1
- Restore the information from image
Kind regards,
Wouter

As long as you have a functional cache module, additional drives can be added to the array and then migrate the raid level. This can be done via the GUI or CLI using ACU/SSA
my standard disclaimer when working with live data is to have a valid backup in case something goes wrong in the process.
