SmartStart 8.30 no option for Linux
My Customer advises that they only get option to install Windows with SmartStart 8.30 .
From reading the readme.txt on the SmartStart, it looks like you need to boot into Linux and then run a the Linux version of SmartStart.
This seems a little backward to have to boot into an os to run an assisted OS deployment.
has anyone done this, can they outline the steps involved.
Thanks
Sam

Re: SmartStart 8.30 no option for Linux
Thank's, however SmartStart has supported Linux since v7.5 .
As per you comment and the Readme.txt I guess I will have to boot into Linux to mount the SmartStart Media.
Attached is the SmartStart 8.30 Linux readme.

Re: SmartStart 8.30 no option for Linux
You are right. Assisted OS installation is for Windows OS only.
For Linux OS, you need to first have the linux OS installed on the system, and then go for installation of smartstart as per readme files.
Thanks,
AKT
