SmartStart System Configuration Utility Error on Proliant 8500
Hello,
I am attempting to re-install a Proliant 8500, and when I enter the system configuration utility, during the "Loading configuration files" process, I get a yellow caution bos that says:
Configuration File Error
File Name !CPQA040.CFG
Line Number: 1
Syntex error
I hit enter for ok and get another yellow Caution Box that says:
Configuration File Error
File Name !CPQA015.CFG
Line Number: 1
Sytnex Error.
I hit enter again and the configuration utility finishes, but when I review the System Configuration I do notice that my IRC Section is missing (which I need).
This also occurred when I tried again starting fresh with the System erace utility. I am using SmartStart 5.50.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
Thanks!!
Bob

Re: SmartStart System Configuration Utility Error on Proliant 8500
Hi Bob,
It sounds like that you are trying to get information on the integrated smarta array controller on this server. I would recommend to update the firmware on the integrated raid controller and give it a try what you were trying
You can download the latest integrated smart array firmware from this link
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17363.html
And read the installation instruction in the link
I hope this will help
