SmartStart hanging on Hardware Discovery.
Hi all,
I'm trying to reconfigure an old Proliant 800 PII 350Mhz using the SmartStart CD v4.1. I ran an Erase All and am trying to re-install with NT4. I configured the Array as Raid 5 using 3 x 4.3 GB drives. When it gets to the Hardware section it says "Performing Hardware Discovery" and then hangs on "Hardware Discovery Complete". It just sits there!
I've checked the KB and the only thing I could find was "Have the minimum RAM installed" which I did - 64MB - same problem.
I've tried lots of different combinations of RAM and SmartStart Manual option, but still get same fault.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
