Smartstart for Windows Server 2003?
Dear All,
Is is possible to invoke an installation of Windows Server 2003 .NET using a Smartstart CD on a Proliant DL360?
Is there a specific download of Smartstart we have to obtain? or do we specify Windows 2000?
Thanks

Re: Smartstart for Windows Server 2003?
Are you talking about an assisted install? If you are, then it's not possible.
In order to get 2003 installed you should select Win2000 during a manual install. Then install it like you normally would.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: Smartstart for Windows Server 2003?
I believe the 6.10 release of SmartStart had the beta release of the install for what was then considered .NET. I jave just done an install on a DL380G3 using the 6.20 SmartStart CD without too many problems.
One caveat is that the Network Teaming and configuration utility is not installed (log says it isn't able to install in silent mode). You can do it manualy from the SmartStart CD pretty painlessly through the GUI. Let us know.

Re: Smartstart for Windows Server 2003?
It is necessary to use the smartstart cd 6.30 with the support package 6.30a. And no... please do not use windows 2000 as the server installation, because there are different drives....
