Smartstart release dates

Is there any source I can check to see if an especific OS has or will have support, and the release date of smartstart release.

Específicaly, I need to know if there is a release date for a new version of smartstart, because I (well... my boss) would like to install RHEL 5 update 2.

Of course, I'll be gratefull if someone can lead me into installing smartstart 8.00 on RHEL 5.2 (if it's supportable).

just install Read hat as usual don't stick with Smartstart, install RH normally after taht proliant support pack

which smartstart CD does is to install driver but if you can not do it you cna load driver manually which takes like 20 min

Will be this kind of install on RHEL 5.2 (with drivers for 5.0 and 5.1) supportable by HP?
Is the manual installation just "rpm -ivh /mnt/compaq/csp/*.rpm" ?

recently install Red hat in 2 servers RH 4 update 5 and RH 5

I just inserted the CD and RH prompted me how to install the OS - I just hit enter since I wanted graphical mode and ready to go no commands

the manual installation for the PSP - proliant support pack is detail in a file when you download the PSP

I can try give you the details later on
but let me know which server you are talking about

I recommended stick to RHEL 5.1.
