Storage Expansion required for HP DL380 G6 Server

Hi,

I am having a HP DL380G6 server configured with 8hdd's (4nosX500GB(Raid 5) and 4nos X 300GB(Raid 1 + Raid 5)).

As all the disk space is full and no more bays left to add new HDD. Kindly suggest me to the MSA storageworks for the DL380G6 server and the spares required for it ....

Opertaing system : windows 2003 server enterprise edition

RAM= 8GB

Thanks in advance..

Re: Storage Expansion required for HP DL380 G6 Server

Hi,

The supported ones are listed in the quickspecs of the DL380 G6: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13234_na/13234_na.pdf

The MSA60/70 are 3Gb SAS - the D2000 are 6Gb.

You could hook up a/several D2600 or D2700 to it the server.

You'll need a controller a with external SAS port, for example a P411.

One example:

1x D2600

1x P411

2x SAS Cables

Option numbers for the D2600 (there are part numbers with disks included) and SAS cables are in the quickspecs for the D2000 - http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/productbulletin.html#spectype=north_america&type=html&docid=13404
