Storage system fan status change

Hello, I get this error message when I boot the server:
Storage System Fan Status Change.
The COMPAQ PROLIANT 4L2I storage system connected to SCSI bus 1 of the controller in Slot 2 has a new status of 3.
(Fan status values: 1=other, 2=ok, 3=failed, 4=notInstalled, 5=degraded)
[SNMP TRAP: 8026 in CPQSTSYS.MIB]
I check and I don't have a fan on the controller card. I'm using the 64-bit/133MHz dual channel ultra320 SCSI host bus adapter.
Thanks!
Gabriel

Re: Storage system fan status change

Hi,

This is generally indicating that a fan on the storage not the card has failed. I would check that all fans in the system are ok.
It could also be an error with the agents reporting the error. It would be worthwhile updating them.

Thanks
