Stuck after POST

I have a Compaq ProLiant ML350 G3 with an HP Smart Array 641 controller configured with a Raid 5 array running on a windows 2000 server. Over the weekend we experienced a power failure and the system is stuck with a message that says booting from c:.

Any help or advice I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Re: Stuck after POST

Try to boot with SmartStart CD and run Array Diagnostic Utility. Any error LED indication on disks occurred?
If RAID is Ok, there is OS problem.

Re: Stuck after POST

Thanks Nikolay,

It was an OS issue. We had to go into the recovery console and reload the boot files. They must have been corrupted when the system crashed.

This was difficult because I needed to load the drivers for the controller via floppy. The diskette drive in that machine probably has not spun for over 5 years. This proved to be the trickiest part.

Now I'm working on re-pointing everything.

Thanks,

Brian
