Support Pack 7.30 and Management processor status
After I upgraded my ML370G3 to Proliant support pack 7.3 the status of Management processor/Embedded NEC98431 and Management processor/Integrated Lights-Out
on System management Homepage changed to Faulty. I don't use iLO but it's annoying to have alerts in CIM for that server. There is no other indication or explanation of this error. Any ideas?
Shall I just disable iLO? But it worked OK before...
Thanks

Re: Support Pack 7.30 and Management processor status
Is your ilo configured? If not try configuring the ilo. We had a similar problem after the upgrade but our ilo was not configured and no cable was connected to the ilo port; we connected the cable, configured the ilo and updated the ilo FW and the error went away. Alternatively, if you are not using the ilo, jut disable just disable the ilo reporting agent.

Re: Support Pack 7.30 and Management processor status
Update the ILO driver
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_4307.html#12
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_4307.html#12
Also update the ILO firmware
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_4307.html#79
However, If you prefer to not use the ILO, you'd better disable them.
sincerly.

Re: Support Pack 7.30 and Management processor status
Or is there another place where I can disable it? I looked in the Device Manager, and in hpSIM on the server, but see no place to disable this NIC. We do not use the ilo port on no file servers, so we do not need hpSIM to monitor its status.
Thanks for any help,
Dave
