Support for IDE DOM on Proliant DL 320 G3

Support for IDE DOM on Proliant DL 320 G3

We have a Proliant DL320G3 with a SATA HDD running Fedora Linux Core 2. We have implemented a Transcend 256 MB DOM with the Linux OS to enable booting ofthe server in case the primary SATA HDD fails.

The problem we are facing is that the server is not booting from the DOM. The DOM is directly connected to the IDE controller (meant for the additional CD ROM Drive).

We tried booting from a CD ROM drive and the same works. However, booting from an IDE Hard Disk Drive doesnt seem to be working.

Can someone help. Thanks

Re: Support for IDE DOM on Proliant DL 320 G3

As a IDE HDD are not supported on PL300/500/700 series at all, I think you can't use this DOM. BR, Oleg.
